About us
Wethersfield has been Mick and Fiona’s home for many years, but it’s only recently that the opportunity arose to acquire and restore Parsonage Farm. Their day job is designing beautiful homes and businesses for other people, and finally it was time to turn their attention to create their own dream home and business.
The Barns were refurbished in 2017/18 and The Hare’s Field was named and launched in 2019, christened by Fiona after her love of this stunning creature which can often be spotted in the local countryside.
The Hare’s Field is charming with a great vibe. Mick loves his music and so it is no surprise that along with a lighting system, air conditioning and underfloor heating; there is a multi-zone music system, excellent sound proofing and a tip top Wi-Fi system, all for the enjoyment of guests.
Meanwhile Fiona adores dogs, especially her Labradors. Dogs by arrangement are welcome and on arrival there will be a special welcome box of goodies for your woof and plenty of lovely walks from the door.
The Hare’s Field is a quiet and relaxing location with no neighbours to disturb your stay.
Freedom to build your event your way
Part of our ethos of The Hare’s Field was to create a place where you have the freedom to design and build the type of event you want, in your own way. Mick and Fiona are on hand to help, they are amazing hosts, who love beautiful design and good food. You are therefore in safe hands when it comes to their carefully curated list of suppliers and partners who can make your wedding or celebration as special as you want. There is no obligation to use the local suppliers or partners, if you prefer you can cater and make all the arrangements yourself - it’s up to you.
